Apache Labs ANAN-100 SDR Transceiver Ham Amatuer Radio
This is a 100W 160M through 6M all mode HF transceiver. It’s receiver and transmitter performance is remarkable, the spectral display is outstanding. I bought this transceiver about a year and a half ago. This radio looks and performs as new. The contacts I’ve made using the ANAN-100’s transmitter produced several unsolicited. “Great audio” signal reports. The receiver is as good as I’ve heard. It has VERY low noise, and some of the best receive audio period. You hear (and see) exactly what is being transmitted. As with many SDR’s the filtering is almost infinitely adjustable. The software is updated often, incorporating new features with each update. The new software allows each receiver to display up to 1.152 MHz of spectrum. One of the things I enjoyed is the VLF performance. Longwave listening is a pleasure with performance guaranteed down to 10KHz. The other end of the spectrum is impressive as well. I would have 6M running on the second receiver looking (hoping) for openings while DX-ing with the main receiver. If you are looking at this, you are likely already familiar with the Apache Labs specifications. No need to repeat all of that here. Their website is excellent and very comprehensive. So why sell it? I find that I’m not active enough to justify having the ANAN-100 sitting for the most part silent on the bench. It is not an easy decision to let this go. I have truly enjoyed owning it. The PowerSDR software is compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 10. I have used 7 and 10 with the Apache Labs, but didn’t ever try. Windows 8 with this ANAN-100. Included is a manual for the transceiver. There is a more recent release of this manual, but most information is still applicable. Finally, included is a 25 pin “D” connector for connecting to the accessory jack on the back panel. Though not shown, I have the original box. My microphone and switch box are not included. The item “Apache Labs ANAN-100 SDR Transceiver Ham Amatuer Radio” is in sale since Sunday, April 17, 2016.
