ICOM IC-290H ALL MODE TRANSCEIVER 2 METER VHF MOBILE HAM RADIO SSB FM CW. Very nice but older all-mode 2-meter mobile. This one powers up and transmits. I did not try SSB or CW, just FM. Included is a microphone, DC power cable, and mobile mounting brackets. The original box was damaged and discarded but the original foam packing inserts are still with it. If I can find a manual it will be included. Solid feeling little rig. It has the following issues. 1 Up/Down control on the mic does not seem to work. 2 The +/- offset switch is hard to actuate. 3 The volume control is VERY scratchy. 4 The mic cord feels sticky. 5 Very strong birdy in the 144-145 MHz range. Might be characteristic of this radio; I really don’t know. EDIT: Tested on LSB and it is functional. IC290H w/dummy load———rcvr IC275 w/dummy load.
