We took a standard XTL W9 radio and connected it to the Desk Set to replace that bulky W9 Control Head and cable. What is a Desk Set? It’s a Control Head – not a Tone Remote. Anyone in the family will know how use it. All the basic W9 Control Head functions are duplicated on the MC3000 Desk Set. Makes for a really neat Base Station set-up! That bulky W9 cable is replaced by a thin CAT-8 cable plugged into the rear Audio/Data port on the MC3000. This configuration does no t require a Digital Junction Box! The MC3000 is a 1-to-1 match for the W9 Head. Programmed with all the GMRS Repeater channels and all National Medical frequencies (receive only).
