This Tempo One transceiver is in outstanding cosmetic condition. The faceplate is pristine with the protective plastic film still intact. The cabinet has a handful of superficial scratches, but overall it’s in great shape. Peaking through the slots on the cabinet, the radio is complete and perfectly clean with no dust, dirt, grime, etc. The unit was acquired through an estate sale and likely hasn’t been used in a very long time. While we do have the power supply (available for sale in another listing), we don’t have the cable that connects the radio to the power supply. With this in mind, we’re forced to sell the radio 100% as-is. It may very well need work given the time it’s sat idle. Obviously this is more expensive that the recycled banana boxes and crumbled newspaper many other sellers use, but it’s worth it. This Tempo transceiver is in fair cosmetic condition. The case is dirty and has some scuffs/scratches. Inside, even the chassis is a little dirty. All controls turn smoothly. Please note that the screws holding the chassis to the cabinet are not original. This one will make a great candidate for restoration or an excellent parts unit in the worse-case! After nearly eight years in business, we’ve made the decision to no longer test vintage equipment that’s been sitting idle for long periods of time. Powers on and dial moves freely. S-Meter light is burned out but S-Meter does work. Power cord was soldered to jack on back. Static received on bands but is not confirmed operational otherwise. Please read up on this model. I have had a few questions from newer or ready to get licensed hams. This is a unique model, it does not have the same level of support that a kenwood or icom would have. It was pretty far ahead of its time. You will need a general class license to use most of the bands in this radio (unless you are a fan of CW). Being that its 40+ years old you should understand how to align a radio like this (it may need it) and the theory of tube finals (so you dont burn them up).
