I’ve been through a lot in the past three years and I’m shifting priorities. This is the second half of my collection. Everything is in good condition. It’s in my garage in Hermiston, OR. If you’re local you are welcome to come have a look. Coming from a commercial/public safety background I loved these radios. They are rugged and much more like the commercial stuff. They have a front fire speaker a single line screen and two knobs. Very simple but still a dual band digital radio. This specific one was my living room radio. Its in a cabinet with a power supply so there aren’t any cables to fuss with. Plug it into the wall and give it an antenna and it’s ready to go.

Up for sale is a vintage Heathkit SB-102 HF Amateur Radio Transceiver. It is missing multiple vacuum tubes (see interior photos), so it has not been fully tested. Because of the missing tubes, I have not attempted to power or operate the transceiver. Cosmetically, this SB-102 presents very well with a clean front panel, original knobs, meter, and cabinet. The chassis appears clean and largely original, making it a great candidate for restoration or as a donor for another SB-102 project. Heathkit SB-102 HF Transceiver. Tracking included on all orders. ? Differences Between Stryker 955 and Stryker 655. The main differences are. The SR-955HPC Has SSB (USB/LSB). The SR-655HPC does not include SSB. This is the single biggest upgrade and the reason most operators choose the 955. The SR-955HPC Covers Both 10 & 12 Meters. The 655 is a 10-meter-only radio. The 955 adds 12-meter capability, making it more flexible for licensed operators. Clarifier System for SSB. Because SSB requires precise tuning, the 955 includes a fine/coarse clarifier system. Otherwise, They Are the Same Radio. Same chassis, same display, same audio chain, same MOSFET power section – the 955 is essentially a 655 with SSB + 12 meters + clarifier. Is this a CB? No, it is a 10 meter radio. The Citizens Band is limited to 4 watts and operates on the 11 meter band per FCC regulations. If you see “10 meter radio” on a listing, it is not a CB. Is it peaked and tuned? All ham radios are “peaked” by the qualified engineers who design them. A radio hack without an engineering degree and radio design experience cannot improve on this, though they can alter the radio for higher output wattage. But this overdrives the transistors, causing distortion and overheating. Not a good thing to do. There is no additional tuning required. Why the ALL CAPS for mosfet? Because MOSFET is an acronym, and in English acronyms are spelled in all caps. MOSFET stands for Metal Oxide Field Effect Transistor. This is not a new technology. It has evolved and improved over time. Some radio buyers obsess over what kind of transistor is used in the finals, based on something they read or their buddy told them. MOSFET isn’t the only way to achieve the design engineers’ goals, but this technology is often chosen. We get this question quite a bit. It is illegal to sell a converted radio, and it also violates the TOS of any online marketplace to do so. If the listing says 10 meter and it says NEW condition, then it has not been converted. And the title would also need to say 11 meter not 10 meter. We hope that helps you get around the confusion this issue causes.
