This is a Yaesu FT-8100 Dual Band Radio Transceiver. From a local storage unit. Missing all the accessories. You are just getting the radio body with face plate section seen above. Cosmetics-The main body is good overall with some general wear. The face plate section though is damaged. The right side volume control is broken off from the board inside. It was just detached loose along with another small part. I will pack those in a small bag. It did not come with the knobs or mount screw for that side. There is also some damage to the plastic around that area. Like from a poor soldering or repair attempt at some point?? Also some deeper nicks and scrapes in other areas. Operationally it does power up. When it first came on the first three sectors of the UHF side and the back light did not come on. Then after a few minutes they did finally illuminate. I was not able to break the squelch or hear any stations otherwise. The left side volume control has some wiggle looseness. All that I heard was the beeping when I changed the settings. I did take a peek inside and the electronics look clean overall. Good for someone who likes a project. See lots of photos of what you are getting. EXAMINE PIX VERY CAREFULLY… !!!! This is a WORKING but DAMAGED radio. I put it in my car and laid the microphone in my door handle pocket. Went in for coffee and when I shut the door, the mic fit in the pocket so perfectly that it keyed the mic and stayed that way for 5-7 minutes. It was on 2 meter band and it burned up the main board for that band. I tested it on the bench. IT STILL WORKS ON HF!!! Every function of the radio still works EXCEPT for transmitting on 2/440 band. IT STILL RECEIVES on 2/440. I tested output and it puts out 0.33 watts on 2/440. I was able to talk to my father around the house with his HT. I then made a contact to Dominican Republic with a 5×7 signal report! So it is listed as broken and for repair or parts! But it works as described. IT IS DAMAGED BUT WORKING. Also have the adapters for accessories and amplifiers in box. Mic cable has a clip missing so I put 2 tiny screws to hold it in. Been like this for 5 years no problems. I forgot to mention the output on my HF test. During the contact to Dominican Republic the output was 89 watts thru a Dipole antenna.
