This KWM-2A is in pretty nice cosmetic condition. The cabinet has been repainted and is missing the lock-screws on the lid, but aside from that the radio looks terrific and is very clean. It was serviced by Collins Rebuilders (K2LRC) in 2014. Unfortunately, it is going to need some more work. We powered it up and my tech noticed smoke coming from near the power connector. We immediately disconnected it. Neither a power supply and microphone are included in the sale. With over 1,000 items in our inventory and new items added daily, you’re sure to find what you need! This is an item from a huge collection of vintage ham radio, test equipment, parts and camera equipment we are currently processing. We have many manuals, Ham Radios, thousands of test equipment and associated parts and pieces. The previous owner was a Ham Radio operator who collected all of these interesting items over the years. He really focused on purchasing equipment from special surplus auctions at the Nevada Test Site, Sandia Labs, Nellis Air Force Base, Kirtland Air force Base, etc. Many of the items we have are from EG&G, Department of Energy, NASA, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Army. The previous owner kept notes on nearly everything as it seemed to be his life-long hobby to collect, test, and document everything he owned. Collins KWM-2 SSB/CW Ham Radio Transceiver Winged Emblem Clean Cond SN 11887. This radio is in very good condition for its age showing little wear! The biggest issue is that there are some paint chips on the trim ring of the lid. Aside from that, and some other tiny scuffs, scratches, and marks, the radio appears fantastically clean! Installed in this radio is a full bank of optional crystals! Please note that no microphone is included. This item has been tested by our technician, a ham radio operator of more than 55 years. Here’s what he had to say: Tested with a dummy load and also an RF generator on all bands for signal strength on both SSB and CW modes. I measured 90+ watts output on my SWR / watt meter! Physically, the radio is in good condition for its age showing some wear. There are a few areas that show some scuffs and other marks but overall the radio looks very clean! This listing is for a Collins KWM-2 Winged Emblem HF Ham Transceiver. Cosmetically this radio is generally good to very good, with very few nicks. Front looks very good. This has the plug in relays and Teflon wiring. It also has the high voltage safety shorting switch on the final amp cage. It would be rated CCA Good to very good. The chassis is very clean as you can see. It is tested, guaranteed working well, all bands, all modes. Receiver is hot and stable. This transceiver has had its electrolytic and paper capacitors replaced with new ones. PTO tuning is smooth as it should be. Transmitter produces <120 watts output as it should. No power supply is included. Neither is my wattmeter.. To be perfectly clear, I do want to sell in all countries where Ham Radio is legal. However, I will NOT, under any circumstances, violate any laws in order to do so. I do not sell "gifts" either. NO OTHERS WILL BE RECEIVED.
