With analog dial and the feel of a vintage unit this is a nice working 2m ham transceiver pulled from the working ham station of a recent silent key. It has been put on the bench here at Sacramento Radio Expo for limited testing (we are not set up for working VHF and UHF bands). The receiver worked well when tested with the HP/Agilent RF generator – good sensitivity and good audio clarity on SSB and FM. The transmitter section put out RF power on FM mode into a dummy load with a Bird watt-meter in line. My Bird Wattmeter can only handle 5W on VHF frequencies so I can only tell you that the RF output easily pegged the Bird Wattmeter showing in excess of the 5W maximum capability of the meter.
