Unit is in great condition! There are no major damages, however does have minor scratches and scuffs. Knobs and buttons are in great shape! For the best indicator of condition, please see photos that are provided! Unit was tested and powers on (see video)! Display seems to not be operating properly. I do not have equipment to test any further. Power supply IS NOT included. Transceiver measures approximately 15″ x 11″ x 5. Enjoy the days of building a Heathkit again!!!! THE HEATHKIT MODEL HW-5400 HF Transceiver. The Heathkit HW-5400 HF SSB Transceiver covers the high frequency bands from 3.5 to 29.7 MHz. This microprocessor based transceiver is entirely solid state and delivers 100 watts (80 watts on 10 meters). Broadbanded circuits eliminate the need to “tune” circuits within a band. Just turn the bandswitch and select the desired frequency. A crystal controlled timebase provides high accuracy on all bands without a calibrator. Microprocessor control of entire operation. Optical tuning encoder for smooth, linkage-free tuning with no backlash. Memory on each band Two sideband filters (one optional). Adjustable passband shift to help reduce adjacent frequency interference. A VSWR protected power amplifier Internal diagnostic capability. All assembly manuals, large fold outs, schematics and updates are included. I verified all printed circuit boards are there and in good shape. The packing looks like it has not been disturbed. The power supply is not included, (HWA-5400-1). This unit can be powered from any 13.8VDC, 20AMP supply. The high current connectors are supplied in the kit for building your own cable assembly that plugs into the back of the HW-5400.
