This radio is operational and has been used as one of our stations transceivers up until today when we replaced it with a TS590S. We have used it for CW, USB & LSB SSB voice and digital. All the controls work. We never use VOX functions, so that is the only unknown function. The Kenwood TS-850S is a competition class transceiver designed for the serious radio operator. U1893 USED ICOM IC-7800 HF/50MHz Ham Radio Just back from Icom Roofing Filter. U1893 USED ICOM IC-7800 HF/50MHz AMATEUR BASE STATION HAM RADIO TRANSCEIVER. This is a used radio but it is in excellent condition and works fine. It does show minor signs of use including some small marks around the sides of the case and some faint scratches on the screen. The screen is, however, still clear and easily readable. The main tuning knob also has some marks on it but, overall, the front looks great with all interface labels fully legible. In all, this is a good looking radio. This radio does have the 3K roofing filter installed as well as the latest firmware. Just back from Icom. We traded for this radio and it was supposed to be working fine. It had an issue with the band scope. This is now a fine rig. PLL-A board, aligned unit, upgraded firmware to v3.10. All band/modes have been tested and are okay. Comes with 4 feet, user’s manual, main tuning knob, handles, t jumper cables, power cable and a 9-pin serial cable (male and female). Does NOT come with a microphone or original box. The Icom IC-7800 is clearly one the most advanced amateur radio ever developed. It utilizes four separate 32-bit floating point DSP chips, has a 7-inch wide TFT display, built in RTTY/PSK31 receive and transmit plus compact flash technology. This radio was stored new in the box as an emergency backup for our association. It was only out of the box 2 times. The next time was to take these pictures and once again make sure that it was operating at ICOM’s manufactures specs on all of the HF Bands using a Dummy Load. At this time we are upgrading our entire system (and backup) to keep “plug and play” emergency operations we must also replace our perfectly working backup unit as well.
