200 watt MINT HF SSB radio high-end transceiver late model BPF-1. Yaesu FT 1000 HF SSB transceiver 200 watts – YouTube. This is the well-known Yaesu FT-1000 high-end HF SSB transceiver, capable of 200 watts RF power. Late models had all the mods already implemented from the factory, including the redesigned and improved antenna tuner. Please see the photos for the details. This radio can still stand its ground against anything on the transceiver market today. Five independent direct-digital synthesizer (DDS) units; brick-wall filtering from four high-end 8-pole crystal filters, 1 ppm frequency accuracy from a TCXO master oscillator from which all internally used local frequency sources are derived, build-in fast automatic antenna tuner with memory function, dual independent receivers, build-in linear power supply, silk smooth tuning from a weighed flywheel dial that seems to run on ball bearings, continuously variable IF width, APF for pulling out that weak CW, superb RF speech processor (actually the best I have experienced on ANY ham radio), diecast alloy front panel no plastic! , and the list goes on and on. When you operate this transceiver, you start to wonder what actual advances were achieved with todays radios, because the FT-1000D performs better than most of those newer high-end radios. You operate this FT-1000 radio, and an IC-7800 right after that, and the only difference you will notice is the IC-7800s fancy color LCD. Which will make you think – the only real improvement for todays radios has been the fancy color LCD screens. For the FT-1000, the 3 additional filters in the second 455 kHz IF were optional, and not installed in this radio. But I have operated an FT-1000D (which has the 455 kHz filters installed) and I can NOT notice any difference in selectivity compared to this radio; you will NOT miss the optional 455 kHz filters. Those are not worth the extra cost. As you can see this in the video I made for this radio; selectivity of this radio is superb, even for the 250 Hz narrow filter. The radio DOES have the optional BPF-1 band pass filter installed for the sub-receiver RF front-end (which was an option for the FT-1000), so that the sub receiver can work fully independent from the main receiver. We tested the radio for all modes and all frequencies, see. It works perfect, with high sensitivity, excellent modulation, more than 200 watts output on all bands (also 60 meter), and no problems whatsoever. Controls also work perfect, and pots are not scratchy. Display is bright and clear. Frequency accuracy is dead-on; less than ONE HERTZ error with the WWV carrier on 15 MHz. And the detailed photos for the results. It comes with the original Yaesu MH-1 microphone and the AC power cord. If you always wanted the FT-1000 Yaesu flagship, but never were able to find a really nice one, THIS one is for you. Your search is over, you FINALLY found it. Dont let it slip away now by waiting too long, pounce while it is still here!! Keep in mind this radio is HEAVY. It will be packed double boxed with a neutral outer box.
