For sale is my Yaesu FT-8900R radio. I had it in my car most of the time, but rarely talked on it. Most of the time was spent listening. It’s in good shape, with few minor scratches as expected but no real damage. I’ve worked plenty of repeaters on all 4 bands (10m, 6m, 2m and 70cm) and even worked 10m FM DX! Included is the original box and foam packaging, the radio with head, microphone, power cord, mounting bracket with mounting screws (There are small stickers on the bottom of the mount from when it was mounted in my house) and the programing cable (the USB end cover is taped but works fine). Also included is the remote speaker wire, aftermarket remote microphone cable (usually you have to plug the mic into the side of the radio head) and the mounting bracket. What isn’t included is the cable that lets you remote mount the head. Somehow between moving it from the mobile into the house, that cable was lost. It’s readily available on the net and the radio works fine without the remote mounting of the head. This is from a smoke free environment so it won’t be all stinky like some sellers. I love full-duplex radios and would like to keep this one, but as you can see from my other listings I need to’down-size’ the shack. Throwing in some extras. SMB-201 Base Mount (see pics). RT Systems USB Programming Cable – USB-29B (see pics). The base mount does have a cooling fan, however to be totally honest the additional cooling is unnecessary on this radio (the internal fan on the 8900R is more than sufficient). Apparently I threw away the power cable for the base (to power that fan), as I didn’t think it was worth the added noise.
