Explanation of optional upgrades shown in above chart. Performance Tuned -Stock radios perform well below FCC standards resulting in poor transmission and low distance. When you choose to have your radio Performance Tuned, your radio will be optimized for best performance – Modulation will be set to achieve 100% instead of the minimal amount in the stock condition. Audio limiters will not be cut. Receive Enhancement -Your receive will be optimized for the best possible signal reception with the least amount of white noise. On radios that don’t already have schottky diodes in the receive circuitry, these diodes will be upgraded. These diodes are faster switching resulting in quieter receive. A stock receive transistor will be replaced with a more sensitive transistor giving you a better overall receive. Clear Knobs – This radio comes with LED lights in the faceplate and bezel which back light the radio’s knobs. We can change out the stock chrome knobs for clear knobs to give it a glowing look.
