This is a nice ICOM model # SM-8 Base Station Desk Microphone from a local Ham Radio Operator’s Estate. I tested it on an ICOM IC-761 HF SSB Transceiver, and received excellent audio reports. It will change frequencies of some of the ICOM transceivers, using the UP or DOWN buttons. There are controls on the underside of the base for gain, tone and level. The SM-8 can select between two different radios, if an additional cable is connected inside the base and using the correct mic plug. This SM-8 has just one cable currently wired, so the microphone LINE switch just works with one radio, and switching to the second position disconnects the mic from the radio. There are PTT and LOCK PTT buttons. Items are in decent shape cosmetically although there is the odd nick or scratch on the power supply and Transceiver. Hot receiver working great and as should. Made numerous contacts on my local repeaters with great signal reports. Tested with watt meter.. Desk mic and power supply working as should. VFO pot on Transceiver could use a service.
