But like all 10 meter radios made today, it is designed for DIY conversion to the 11 meter band. Another option is to use it as is on Single Side Band (SSB). The Stryker 955 is the same as the Stryker 655, except the 955 has this SSB option. So that you don’t have to fool with jumpers. If you want to convert the 655 (and thus the 955) to CB, it used to be you snipped a particular wire. Basically, you solder a jumper between two pins on the backside of the PC board. An item that does not function as intended and is not fully operational. This includes items that are defective in ways that render them difficult to use, items that require service or repair, or items missing essential components. Diode removed no replacement available (expands frequency into bands this radio isnt inteded for). Upgraded power cable to have Anderson Powerpoles connector in the rear 12 awg wire, pure copper. CTCSS Module, adds CTCSS, DCS & DTMF for your local repeater use. It doesnt affect the radio performance if youre not connected to it. THE RADIO DOES NOT NEED A TUNE. 60W MAX IS WHAT THIS STOCK RADIO PRODUCES. If you know what that diode is for, then this is a great radio for you. Traveled from canada, all USA and into mexico as far as Oaxaca. Great radio, will work all day if you need it too. Added the mods in Mexico. Im back in Texas, antenna was paired to a Predator 10K with 1:1 SWR will transmit with an SWR as high as 2:1. The bottom cover does have 2 holes i drilled in Kansas. My 2 meter radio was mounted underneath. This radio works like a charm. Once in a while ill attach it to my EFHW and chat up on 10 meters. Ignore sticker, i thought id keep this radio until the end of time but i have moved on to HAM radio and i have other cbs that arent as attention grabbing at night.
