This radio has the 6 Meter 50 MHz. The radio was used remotely and has had 2 head extension cables joined together so the transceiver could be mounted in the trunk. The radio is in good shape for it’s age. It does not come with a remote head mounting bracket, I used velcro. Mounting bracket w /Screws. Microphone extension cable (CAT5). 2 DC Power cords. Vintage high end mobile Kenwood TM-742A transceiver radio. Remote detachable face design. Converted to tri-band using the official Kennwod conversion kit. Some small scuffs, scratches, and marks, but the radio looks nice and clean overall. The screen is slightly dimmer on the right side and can be fixed but still works fine. Installed in this radio are modules for 6 meters, 2 meters, and 440 MHz. Includes Kenwood manuals, a matching hand held Kenwood “Electret Condenser Mic”, a DC power cord, and some spare parts leftover from the Kenwood tri-band conversion. This radio is in great operational condition. It includes the stock 144/440MHz modules, as well as an optional 220MHz module. It receives perfectly and transmits as expected on low/medium/high power on all bands. The only problem is that the plastic piece that holds the faceplate has cracked, and as a result the faceplate is a little loose and could be pulled out if forced. Included with the radio is a genuine Kenwood hand mic and mounting bracket (bracket only, no bolts). Please note that no power cord is included with the radio, but these are readily available online.
