Another estate sale find. I want to start off by saying I know nothing about this item. With that being said this thing is very clean. It was tagged untested because he said he just didn’t get around to testing everything he had before his health took a turn for the worst. On the bottom I circled one of the feet because it is missing the other little rubber piece to it. Everything you see in the pictures is what is included in this lot. Photos are the best description. Please look at all pictures closely before purchasing. I will document any damage the best I can but the photos will always be the best way to exam the item. Items may need a more in depth cleaning. Tested just turning on, probably needs some tube change and/or maintenance, comes with a copy of the user manual, microphone (made in japan) noise blanker, in case you’re wondering, yes, does it have a cage cover for the final tubes, but this one does not appear in the photos since I forgot to put it back, it will be sent together with the transceiver. This Drake transceiver is in fair cosmetic condition. It looks like the cabinet has been repainted at some point, but I can’t be 100% sure on that. The faceplate looks good. The chassis has corrosion on it, but that’s very common with these older Drake units. From what I can tell, it appears to be unmodified. There was a note on it that said “needs alignment”, but that’s probably to be expected with a piece that’s been sitting this long. After nearly eight years in business, we’ve made the decision to no longer test vintage equipment that’s been sitting idle for long periods of time. That’s right, this item is untested. I apologize for this, but we’ve simply encountered too many problems. But that doesn’t necessarily mean this is a junker! We have relationships with plenty of reputable technicians around the US and will be happy to pass along their contact info upon request!
