Available for sale is a Kenwood TS-140S, serial number 10800415, transceiver. This particular radio has no optional filters installed. Physically, the radio is in good condition for its age showing only some wear. The biggest issue is that the rear DC power plug is loose. Aside from some other general signs of wear on the radio is still looks nice! Please see the photos for more details. Our technician tested the radio and found it works nicely! Here are his testing notes: Tested with dummy load, SWR / watt meter, and RF generator on all ham bands to test the receive strength. Excellent power output on all modes and all functions work! Please note that the rear DC power 6-pin plug is loose and also that we do not replace memory batteries. The radio requires 13.8 VDC at 20 amps for operation (not included). Included with the radio is a DC power cord. This is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
