Kenwood TS-450S HF Transceiver w/Mic & DC Power Cable. This is a used unit. The Mic has no part number on it. It reads “600 Ohm Impedance” on the back. I believe the other cables include a DC power cable that appears to have inline fuses, but see the picture for what is included. I have no way to test this, but I believe it is fully functional. My grandfather was using this up until I inherited it. I wasn’t sure what kind of power source it would require, so I have not attempted to turn it on. Very nice looking transceiver with original box, after market mic and power cable. Receive sensitivity is approximately 0.1 uv on all bands. For transmit, CW carrier output was 120W on 160/80M, 90W on 40M, 80W on 30/20M, 75W on 17/15, and 70W on 10M. The FM option is not installed and there is no 500 Hz filter installed. Power consumption is approximately 1A in receive and 18A during transmit, both at 13.8VDC. Radio has been cleaned and tested prior to listing by a shortwave radio operator. The only flaw I’ve noticed is the CAR switch on the bottom right is a little bent but works fine. Tested with a Kenwood MC-85 mic. Please do your own research to ensure your accessories are compatible with this unit. Listing includes the radio itself and the power cable. Kenwood TS-450S HF Transceiver with built in antenna tuner option (AT-450) and Kenwood hand microphone. This ham radio transceiver covers 9 bands, 160-10m and general coverage receiver. Used, but in good condition. Receive was tested on an antenna, transmit was tested through a wattmeter into a dummy load. Whistling into the microphone gave 100W output. Tested most bands and found no problems on any of the tested bands. The radio was removed from service at our radio club to make room for newer equipment. This is an excellent older radio, even by today’s standards. No manual, no original box. Please be patient, but contact me if you have any concerns.
