This listing is for a Kenwood Model TS-940 HF Ham Transceiver. This is the 100 watt version with built in AC power supply. This is Kenwood’s description of it. The Kenwood TS-940S is a serious radio for the serious operator. Superb interference reduction circuits and high dynamic range receiver combine with superior transmitter design to get your signal through. This all mode transceiver covers 160 to 10 meters with a general coverage receiver. Other refinements include: SSB slope tuning, CW VBT (variable bandwidth tuning), IF Notch, Audio Filter, Dual Mode NB, All-mode Squelch, RF Attenuator, Switchable AGC (Off/Fast/Slow), Full QSK, Speech Processor, Dual digital VFOs, 40 memories, Scan, Keyboard Frequency entry, large fluorescent display and LCD Sub-display. This radio is in good cosmetic condition with a several nicks here and there. It is tested working well with sensitive receiver, great stability and sound quality. The transmitter produces about 125 watts output, as it should. It has a few issues. 1 The auto tuner does not seem to work. The tuner is present, it just doesn’t do anything. 2 A few of the buttons have lettering worn. 3 The LCD sub-display works but the green light is out. Otherwise it is fine and will serve you well.
