Kenwood TS-940S HF 100w Ham Radio Transceiver black JVC WARC Band Expansion. The lighting of the sub-display is changed to LED. The backup battery has been changed to a holder type, and replacement is easy. The attenuator relay was defective, so I replaced 3 of them together with the transverter switching. Adjust each VCO frequency. Receiving sensitivity (IF/RF) adjustment. S meter adjustment There are some errors depending on the band. IC meter adjustment (zero point, 10 A, CW 14 A). SSB/F time (2 tone) adjustment. Final base current/bias current Adjustment. Transmission output adjustment (approximately 7MHz 140W, tune 55W, open 10W). The sensitivity of the medium wave band has been increased. The auto-tuning is also working. The rotation of the cooling fan (power supply/final) has also been confirmed. Physical condition as the pictures show. Missing some case screws. Clean inside as pictures show. The last picture shows a segment in the display missing on the far right hand digit, THIS IS A PHOTOGRAPHY ANOMOLY! The display is clean, bright and complete! Serial number is a later (newer) radio at 14144 (yes, they made lots of these because people loved them and they worked so well). I made contacts on 40M, 20M and 17M CW and SSB. Includes DC power cable. Manual is a free download from the web. Works fine for what I tried, the usual caveats – this is a 30+ year old used radio, so there MAY be some adjustments or cleaning of pots, switches, etc that YOU MAY want to do. Scratchy pots, switches, tuning adjustments or other minor imperfections in operation do NOT constitute a return for “not as described” or “defective”. WATTMETER/TUNER IS NOT INCLUDED (this was used to show power output). On manual page 23, ICOM shows that this “green wire” must be cut to enable WARC band transmit. Rod noticed my dilemma and wrote to me to advise of this simple factory enabling mod. Rockwell Collins KWM-380 Vintage Ham Radio Transceiver w/ Filters WARC Bands. This KWM-380 is in pretty good condition for it’s age. Cosmetically, it is clean with a handful of scratches and scuffs on the cabinet. The biggest cosmetic issue involves the speaker grill, which has some dings in it, all of which were there before we acquired the radio. You’ll also note that the meter has a couple bulbs out. Operationally, the radio runs great with full power output. It contains the optional 1.7KHz and 360 Hz filters, as well as the A-13 passband tuning option. It’s also has the WARC band frequency kit installed. This unit does not include the speech processor, noise blanker, or blower options. The sale includes the radio itself and power cord. Unfortuntely, no microphone or manual is included with the radio, so you will need to acquire your own. Please realize that this is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Kenwood TS-830S 160-10 Meter + WARC Bands Transceiver Very Clean Condition. Available for sale is a Kenwood TS-830S, serial number 3060336, transceiver. This unit has the YK-88S1 SSB filter installed. Physically, the unit is in very good condition showing little wear. There are some very minor signs of wear but overall the radio is extremely clean! Please see the photos for more details. Our technician tested the radio and found that it works great! Here is what he had to say: Tested on both CW and SSB – 100+ watts output!
