Famous classic wideband CODAN 8528 SSB HF Transceiver – International version / Codan 8528 Land Mobile Export, with RARE factory-enabled TXE Transmit Enable option for direct add / change transmit frequencies by user. USB / LSB mode is unlocked as well. Sale also includes: – cute original CODAN’s Microphone / PTT – printed manual Operator’s Handbook / User’s Guide – spare EEPROM IC. Operates as free-tuning communication receiver with slow and fast band and channel scan modes. Very clean unit with almost no signs of wear, kind of “collectible” grade, comes from the shelf storage. All PCBs are absolutely intact with mounting screws still factory sealed with red paint. EPROM ver 5.60 is factory original with no channels programmed , UV erase window sealed with CODAN’s printed label. See pictures for details. All controls operate smoothly, RX tested OK in “Scan” mode, TX voice and “Call” mode tested OK with simple SWR/Power meter and 50 Ohm load circuit (last picture, not included). Last few pages of the handbook have some imperfections. Wideband land antenna with long cable is also available upon request.
