Collins KWM-2 SSB/CW Ham Radio Transceiver Winged Emblem Clean Cond SN 11887. This radio is in very good condition for its age showing little wear! The biggest issue is that there are some paint chips on the trim ring of the lid. Aside from that, and some other tiny scuffs, scratches, and marks, the radio appears fantastically clean! Installed in this radio is a full bank of optional crystals! Please note that no microphone is included. This item has been tested by our technician, a ham radio operator of more than 55 years. Here’s what he had to say: Tested with a dummy load and also an RF generator on all bands for signal strength on both SSB and CW modes. I measured 90+ watts output on my SWR / watt meter! All controls work, all functions work, the meter works, and the lamp works as well! If you have any questions about this equipment before or after purchasing, our tech will be happy to assist you. Please realize that this is a vintage piece of equipment, and unless specifically noted above, it has not been fully restored with new components. It will inevitably need maintenance, however it’s impossible to know whether that will be next week or a few years down the road. Unless you are capable of doing this work yourself (or have access to someone who can), we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you. This has the plug in relays and Teflon wiring. It also has the high voltage safety shorting switch on the final amp cage. It would be rated CCA Good to very good. The chassis is very clean as you can see. It is tested, guaranteed working well, all bands, all modes. Receiver is hot and stable. This transceiver has had its electrolytic and paper capacitors replaced with new ones. PTO tuning is smooth as it should be. Transmitter produces <120 watts output as it should. No power supply is included. Neither is my wattmeter.. To be perfectly clear, I do want to sell in all countries where Ham Radio is legal. This listing is for a Collins KWM-2 Winged Emblem HF Ham Transceiver. Cosmetically this radio is good, with quite a few nicks, mostly on the bottom. Front looks very good. It would be rated CCA Good. The chassis is pretty clean as you can see. I show a closeup of typical chassis condition, not perfect but not bad either. It is tested, guaranteed working well, all bands, all modes. Receiver is hot and stable. PTO tuning is smooth as it should be. Transmitter produces 120 watts output as it should. My wattmeter only shows about 85 watts in the photo but my 516E-1 DC supply drops to 600 volts plate voltage under load. (The supply needs recapping). I had tested it on a 516F-2, which I no longer have, and it produced a solid 120 watts output. It has been recapped as you can see. No power supply is included. Neither is my wattmeter..
