This a great HF tranceiver for someone just getting started in the hobby, and also makes a good portable or mobile unit. I’ve upgraded since, and I’m ready to sell my first rig. This raido is used. There are a couple of scuffs on the case. The top of the tuner case has some scuffs, too. Not through the paint, but they’re visible. Otherwise, the equipment looks great. The generates full power on all bands and I’ve had great reception reports with it. The tuner works great, though it takes a little getting used to. Reception is very pleasing. Included is a coaxial patch cord that will go from the radio to the tuner, so you’d just connect your antenna just to the tuner. The tuner’s data cable is included, as well, which allows the radio to directl control the tuner. The tuner has an additional 9-pin RS-232 port where you can connect your PC or any other controling device you’d like. The tuner powers itself from its connection to the radio. Also included is the matching Yaesu MH-31A8J hand-held microphone. The original boxes aren’t in perfect shape, so the extra packing will assure your radio arrives in great shape. The package will be insured and you may be required to sign or present identification upon receipt. Because I’m not a dealer, I can’t afford to absorb this kind of misbehaviour. The radio is as described and is in excellent working condition so I’m sure you’ll be happy with it.
