I bought two of these a couple of years back, using one in my vehicle and one at home. But, C4FM digital has become very popular in my area so recently I bought two Yaesu FT-100s, which do both FM and digital. So, it is time to find a new owner for my FT-2900. I bought this radio new and have been the only owner. It has not been modified in any way and works beautifully. If you are not familiar with this radio, it transmits 75 watts out without a cooling fan. Yaesu designed the case so that the entire thing is pretty much a heat sink. It has strong, clear audio with a 3 watts of audio output. It can store over 200 memories and is WIRES-X capable (if you have a WIRES-X repeater nearby). It has quick access to the NOAA weather broadcasts by pushing one button on the mic. It has extended receive from 136-174 Mhz and transmits only on the amateur band of 144-148 Mhz in the FM mode. This is a rugged, well built radio and works great mobile or as a home station. As you can see from the photos, the radio condition if very good. I looked it over and cannot find a scratch or scuff on it. I have done a factory reset to erase all the memories and personal settings I had programmed into it. This radio comes complete with everything that was in the original box except the mic hanger. That must have gone in the last vehicle I traded. Here is what you will get.
