Stryker SR-955HPC+ 10 Meter Amateur Radio
Stryker SR-955HPC+ 10 Meter Amateur Radio with Single Side Band. The Stryker 955HPC doesn’t drift off frequency at all, not even slightly. High power 60+ watts PEP. 8-color LED-backlit faceplate with Dimmer control (32 positions). Digital Echo with dual front-mounted controls. Advanced Noise Reduction uses digital signal processing to measure, filter, or compress continuous analog signals. As a result, it can reduce the amount of receiver noise. Anyone who operates a radio can appreciate this feature since the airwaves can become crowded at times. PC Programmable w/ included USB Cable. Rock Solid Frequency Stability, No Drift on SSB. What’s in the box. Microphone, Power cord, Mounting bracket with side knobs, and USB cable. Please note, this is not an 11 meter (Citizens Band) radio. But like all 10 meter radios made today, it is designed for DIY conversion to the 11 meter band. Another option is to use it as is on Single Side Band (SSB). Generally, this is the better option and it’s why there’s the 955 model in the first place. Try the SSB, and if you don’t like it then go the soldering route. The Stryker 955 is the same as the Stryker 655, except the 955 has this SSB option. So that you don’t have to fool with jumpers. If you want to convert the 655 (and thus the 955) to CB, it used to be you snipped a particular wire. Basically, you solder a jumper between two pins on the backside of the PC board. If you do not have soldering experience, hire someone to do this. It need not be a radio shop, any electronics hobbyist can do it.
