This is an update to the first write up for this transceiver which is now transmitting properly after going thru the set up procedure in the manual. The bias voltage had been set incorrectly, but everything seems to be OK now! This Drake TR-6 six meter receives and transmits with 100+ Watts out, The video shows it in CW mode, turning the xmtr on and off a couple times. I didn’t try it in SSB because I don’t have the proper microphone with the 0.21 plug that Drake used on most of their radios from that vintage. Pic 3 (counting the video) shows it with the calibrator on. The multi section filter cap has been replaced with a new one. This radio requires an AC-4 power supply and external speaker, not included. Cosmetically it’s VERY clean as you can see. The top cover is a repaint with a textured paint that doesn’t quite match the Drake “pebble” texture, but it’s close and looks very nice. Clean front panel and shiny chassis with minor wear. There may or may not be issues with this radio, but what I was able to check was OK. It may or may not work at all when you get it!
