One issue some folks had with this radio is that “vertical lines” developed on the LCD display. So I took it to the Yaesu factory repair center and had the LCD replaced and the radio completely checked out by the factory technicians. One item to note is that although both of the internal batteries are included only one properly takes a charge. They are made to be replaced when they get old so replacement is simple.
