ALL NEW BPF-8A BAND PASS FILTER ARRAY. MADE IN THE USA. The BPF-8A features a Mother-Board, which functions as a Pallet, for up-to 8 plug-in filter modules. The unit is priced with with all 8 filter modules. The filter modules feature the same circuit design as our mono-band BPF-200 series of filters. The BPF-8A is a compact 5-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ x 8 unit weighing 4 pounds fully loaded. Its compact size, and light weight makes it ideal for portable field operations. And comes standard, with a 6ft. DC power cable, 12vdc AC wall wort. The enclosure is a robust, anodized extruded aluminum extrusion. The overall design has been carefully thought out for both reliability and performance. The overall design, is essentially military type of construction, and quality build. Outside of a better antenna, band-pass filters are the most important station upgrade. The BPF-8A is designed to provide a sharp roll off just outside each Amateur band. The TACOM Series of HF Band-Pass Filters, are designed to restrict the transmit/receive pass-band to a single Amateur band. Additionally, they provide a much lower noise floor, necessary for weak signal reception; a must for DXers, contesting stations, and Field Day operations. These filters provide the isolation necessary, for eliminating image and harmonic interference for multi-radio contesting environments; required for use with Triplexers. These filters provide the extra isolation, necessary to allow multiple transceivers to operate on different bands simultaneously, using the same antenna. The BPF-8A Filters provide >40dB of out-of-band suppression, eliminating out of band noise and interfering signals. Typical insertion loss 0.25dB with VSWR >1.15:1.
