This unit was owned by a Ham Radio operator, his ID code was KGR 428. This is some sort of Ham Radio outfit, but I do not know what it is really named. The sticker on the back has a date from 1966. I have this information from a radio engineer that looked at my photos. Upon observation of your photos, the unit you are showing is a remote control for a base station located off premises. If you look at the rear photo, you will see terminals for the remote telephone line used during those days to connect the control unit to the transmitter and receiver. There is no coaxial cable connector anywhere on the chassis.. The only electronics inside is a microphone preemplifier to develop the audio level to drive the telephone line, as well as a small speaker amplifier There is no radio receiver or transmitter inside the unit. I plugged it in and the clock in upper corner works. When I look inside I see one tube light is lit red near it’s base. I don’t know how to test it further and I cannot say if it works. Very clean for 56 years old, looks great. It is a heavy item, weighs 27 pounds all by itself. This item is in the category “Consumer Electronics\Radio Communication\Ham, Amateur Radio\Ham Radio Transceivers”. The seller is “lbese” and is located in this country: US.
