Used but in excellent condition Yaesu FT-817ND COMPLETE Package with 50Watt HF Amplifier! This radio is the standard by which all other small All band HF radios are compared. This set is in excellent condition and includes everything you need to get on the air with the exception of antenna. The internal battery does work but not for too long. I always used an external battery to get maximum output power. Visit Yaesu’s site for the details but this radio rocks for portable use. Compact, dual antenna connections (front and back), All mode HF, 2 meters and 70cm operation so you can hit those repeaters while on the mountain! A 50 watt HF Amplifier is included for those pile ups or home use. The MX-P50A is a great amp providing coverage on the most popular HF bands. The band selection can be either manual or automatic. The CAT cable and the power cable are included as well at the patch cables needed. The LDG Z-817H Automatic Tuner is also included. The Z-817 is the ultimate autotuner for QRP radios. The Z-817 interfaces to the CAT port (ACC) on the back of the FT-817 radio with the provided cable. Tuning could not be simpler; one button push on the tuner is all that is needed and the Z-817 takes care of the rest. It will switch to PKT mode, transmit a carrier, tune the tuner, then restore the radio to the previous mode! 2000 memories cover 160 through 6 meters. Of course, the Z-817 will also function as a general purpose antenna tuner with other QRP radios. Just transmit a carrier and press the tune button on the tuner. The Z-817 is powered by four AA internal Alkaline batteries (not included), so there are no additional cables required to use the Z-817. Latching relays are used so that power consumption is Zero when not tuning allowing a set of batteries to last about one year. The stand provides the best viewing angle for the radio screen. It’s covered surface will not scratch the radio and provides access to all needed ports and controls with ease. This is a great deal as you get everything you need to get on the air. ALL cables needed such as patch cables, power cables, and CAT cables are included! All cable connections are MARKED WITH LETTERS to make hooking up the radio VERY easy! You get the original antenna and an extra 2 meter collapsable antenna that has a BNC connection for the front for easy use while hiking. A 90 degree elbow converts the front BNC connections (this radio has TWO antenna connections; BNC front and standard SO-239 on the rear) so it’s easy to use the radio while in it’s case or your pack.
