Yaesu FT-817 Portable HF-6M-VHF-UHF Multi-Mode Portable Ham Radio Transceiver
This is a fully working Yaesu FT-817 QRP transceiver along with a matching LDG Z-817 antenna tuner and various accessories. It has everything you need to get on the air except for an HF antenna. In the third photo, you can see everything I’m including in this listing. A Yaesu FT-817 transceiver with its matching MH-31 dynamic microphone. An LDG Z-817 antenna tuner. It is battery powered, and the batteries last a very long time. I have installed fresh batteries in it. The proper, short data and RF cables to connect the tuner to the radio. The Yaesu YHA-63 Antenna with the 50-mhz cap to allow portable operation in 6m. A MFJ-1812 140/440 dual band antenna , which is folding and telescopic for portable operation on 2m / 70cm. The Yaesu FBA-28 battery case to allow operation powered by AA batteries. I tested it prior to listing and it works fine. A FNB-85 Ni-MH battery pack. I replaced the original FNB-72 Ni-Cd battery a couple of years ago so this battery is still in good shape and holds a strong charge. I did not generally operate the radio off of the battery, so it has had very few cycles. The pictures you see of the radio where the voltage is 9.8V is the radio running on the Ni-MH battery alone. You can also see the inside of the radio where the battery pack is installed is clean. The NC-72B battery charger. The pictures you see where the voltage is 12.2V are where the radio is running on the battery charger. A DC cable to hook the radio up to a larger power supply. A no-name external speaker that works well with the radio. A BNC to SO-239 cable so you can connect the front antenna jack (which is used for VHF/UHF) to a PL-259 connector for hooking the radio up to real antennas. The radio does not come with original packaging or manuals; the manuals are widely and easily available on the internet. The radio has scratches and wear consistent with its age, but these are only cosmetic issues. Functionally, it all working. The radio is coming from a non-smoking home. I used this very successfully for PSK-31 work and made contacts around the world with it. I’ve tried to price the kit where I think it’s a good deal and give you everything (except the antenna) you need to get on the air. Thank you for looking at this listing! US Buyers only, sorry.
